Located in Arnold Missouri, PCX Construction was originally formed as a company in 2001 under the name, Plattin Creek Excavating, LLC. The company took its name from Plattin Creek – a tributary of the Mississippi River and stream in northeastern Jefferson and St. Francois counties in Missouri. Plattin Creek started as small contractor offering local site development, excavation, and grading services. Over the years, Plattin Creek’s reputation for quality workmanship, value, and timeliness earned us loyal, repeat clients, growing the company and enabling us to expand into other areas of industrial construction.
Plattin Creek’s growth exploded in recent years. What began as a small enterprise evolved into PCX Construction, a superior industrial construction company operating in public, commercial, heavy highway, residential and industrial venues. Our service offerings continue to grow while still maintaining our small business ethics of treating our clients with respect, personal attention, commitment, reliability, and building trust.
We value our employees as family and pride ourselves on having the best laborers and heavy equipment operators in the Midwest. Many of our employees have decades of experience on heavy highway and commercial projects. Because of our training, knowledge, and dedication to safety standards, our attention is focused solely on our clients’ projects and satisfaction from design and value engineering to implementation and schedule. We also own and maintain our own equipment, keeping costs and time expenditures down and increasing on-site safety.

Matt Clark and his team successfully completed the construction of South Tealbrook Drive Stormwater Infrastructure Project (1605) for the City of Ladue in October 2020. The construction cost of the project was $119,000.00. Plattin Creek Excavating was responsive to our needs. Paid attention to detail. They did an outstanding job of communicating with the City, property owners, and residents. Their work was of high quality and was completed in 87 calendar days: 93 calendar days AHEAD of schedule. They proved to us that they have the capability to do projects much larger in scope and complexity. We look forward to an opportunity to work with them again in the future.
